GABRIELLA COHEN’S DEBUT REISSUED

GABRIELLA COHEN’S DEBUT REISSUED

Early last December when the tumbleweeds start blowing across the musical year for many, Melbourne based Brisbane expat Gabriella Cohen released her excellent debut full length Full Closure and No Details. Ordinarily for us, the album would of got lost in the ether as we’d already put the “gone fishing” sign out and turned our back on 2016’s new releases. Thankfully then Brooklyn label Captured Tracks noticed Cohen’s uniquely stellar songwriting ability and idiosyncratic delivery and decided to reissue the album internationally.

Recorded over ten days with Kate Dillon, as the title suggests, its a cathartic relationship ending document that, once the emotion is expelled, the intention is never to revisit. We’ve collected three tracks complete with their videos from the record below. Enjoy. The reissued album sees light in the US and internationally on March 3. Go here for that on vinyl while you can grab a vinyl or digital copy on her band camp page here. Meanwhile, you can catch Cohen on her farewell Australian tour before she hits SXSW in March. Dates below.
