The Top 30 is finally back for 2015 and it’s a Canadian 1-2. Montreal based trio Braids take out our first number one of the year on the Indie30 Top 30 chart with the incredibly powerful, ‘Miniskirt’. Read our article on that release and their forthcoming album here. At 2 is Calgary’s Viet Cong with the manic  ‘Silhouettes’, while Yumi Zouma takes 3 with  ‘Catastrophe’. ‘Just Like You’, the first track from Chromatics new record is at 4 while Natalie Prass takes the number 5 spot with ‘My Baby Don’t Understand Me’.

The rest of the chart is full of gems of all colours, shapes and sizes. The remainder of the top 10 are from artists we have featured this year except the fast paced ‘Roswell’ from Toronto synth rock outfit Moon King at 7 and  L.A artist Lauren Hillman, aka Kotomi, rounding it out at 10 with the shimmering, yet disciplined heartfelt ode to lives suddenly lost, ‘The Last Time’.

All tracks previously unfeatured this year, there are almost 20 of them, (Sleater Kinney, Leave The Planet, BOUQUET, Jib Kidder, Waxahatchee, Makthatverskan, Grave Pool, Nadastrom, The Twerps, Young Ejecta, Casa Del Mirto, Sosi, Petite Noir, Joanna Gruesome, Tabrill, The Soft Moon and Purity Ring) can be perused with full detail below while all 30 tracks are streaming in countdown format in our Top 30 player to the top right.
