Sweden’s The Radio Dept. ascend to the number one spot with the title track from their excellent new three track EP, ‘Occupied’ while five new tracks take their bow. The debuts begin at 17 with the return of Baltimore dream pop duo Beach House with the woozy first single, ‘Sparks’ off their forthcoming album Depression Cherry. That’s followed by a trio of tracks that have been featured on indie30 this week. At 19 is Devyn Rose with ‘Stellar’, at 20 is US Girls with ‘Woman’s Work’ and Vinyl Williams at 22 with ‘Space Age Utopia’.
The final new entry comes from Los Angeles sisters Skylar and Piper Kaplan, the duo behind Puro Instinct, who’s only album a few years back went gangbusters on this site with an end of year Top 10 gong. Their new single, W.Y.L. was done with producer Sam Mehran and is a taste of things to come in the form of a new album late this year or early next. That debuts at 24.
