Meg Remy’s U.S Girls project has its third entry in our Top 30 for 2015 with the languid extravaganza that is the third single, ‘Window Shades’ debuting at 15 ahead of the release of her brand new record, Half Free on September 25. Close behind at 16 is Kelela with the previously featured new track, ‘Rewind’ off her forthcoming debut EP, Hallucinogen. At 19 is Chromatics, Portland’s purveyors of the emotive night, also making third entry int the chart for the year with the single, ‘Shadow’, which is the new track off the 2015 Adult Swim Singles Program. It’s available below as a free download. The longer version will be on the much anticipated double album from the band, Dear Tommy, which is still to get a release date.
Swedish electronic duo SQRD, who collaborate online between Stockholm and Berlin recently released their second ever track, ‘Chase’, a delightfully disorienting affair characterised by swirling synths, big tyco like drums and busy percussion. The final new entry at 27 comes from The Ocean Party, who we featured yesterday with the sub two minute wonder ‘Greedy’.
