The Radio Dept. just keep the surprises coming, following up their electronic dance laden recent EP, Occupied, by going back to their roots with their latest single, ‘This Repeated Sodomy’. It’s very much in the vain of their first two records and more indeed reminiscent of the music on their first, Lesser Matters. The uncompromising title and its lyrical content come as no surprise though as the trio once again rail against the world’s biggest issues alongside the degradation of the environment (although both go hand in hand) – social, economic, political and gender inequality. An issue recently illustrated by the disgusting treatment of the Greek people by the European elite – the lyrics were posted on their FB page recently. Read and listen below.
