Brisbane jangle pop outfit The Goon Sax takes out this week’s album of the week with their excellent debut record ‘Up To Anything’. Recently released in Australia, the album will see a UK release on April 8. Consisting of 12 neat yet effortless, distant yet self-conscious little ditties about emerging relationships, the inanity of modern life and the pains of coming of age, it’s an impressive first blueprint from the trio of Louis Forster (vocals/guitar/bass), Riley Jones (drums/vocals) and James Harrison (bass/guitar/vocals). Having first featured the band last year upon the release of fragile second single, ‘Boyfriend’, we can safely say that Up To Anything lives up fully to the promise contained therein. We’ve collected all the streams and videos available thus far from the record which you can check out below. Videos for the aforementioned ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘Sometimes Accidentally’ and the stream to the latest single, ‘Up To Anything’. The record is available on all formats, including vinyl from Chapter Music HERE. And yes, in case you’re wondering Louis Forster is the son of Robert.
