Five new ones this week led off by Los Angeles pop afficionado Cellars (Allene Norton – more on our amazing ignorance and her tomorrow) with her first single, ‘Nighttime Girl’ from her forthcoming album, Phases. That enters at 18 and both the stream and the new John Charter video are below. The Goon Sax debut at 21 with the title track to our current album of the week, ‘Up For Anything’. KAUF comes in at 25 with ‘Through The Yard while TRAAPS, who we also featured on Monday is at 29 with ‘Pinnacles’. Nite Fields, who we featured yesterday rounds it all of nicely at 30 with ‘Voyeur’.
There was a big moves this week. Negative Gemini is up from 24 to 12 with her thumper of a new single, ‘Body Work’ while Leon Vynehall’s amazing Kiburu‘s smashes the top 10 (12 to 6). His album Rojus is out Friday. Her Magic Wand is up 7 spots and also hits the Top 10 with the infectious ‘Draw A Line’ (7). One of the most underrated bands in Australia right now is our beloved Black Cab who are into the top 5 second week in with the amazing ‘Uniforms’. Superlatives elude for Kirsten Ludwig, who is elevated to 4 with the touching ‘Cinnamon’ while Parquet Courts rise to 3 from 6 with the dynamically rustic ‘Berlin Got Blurry’. Their new album, Human Performance sees the light April 8.
You can also check out a brand new video for Oyinda‘s tough arsed new track ‘Never Enough’ below. It’s moved up a huge 8 places from 20 to 12.
All media (streams and videos) are HERE and as always we’re counting them all down in our streaming TOP 30 PLAYER to your right. Enjoy!!!
