Hot on the trailings of their impressive debut record from last year, Eternalism, Irish-Australian outfit EVVOL are set to drop a follow up EP, Physical L.U.V. The Berlin based duo of vocalist Julie Chance and multi-instrumentlist producer Jane Arnison has wasted no time in creating five tracks that rest on an analog recorded sound that shys away from a search for sharp perfection that marks most electronically produced music. According to the duo;
“We arrived at a sound that feels like a fusion of the sharpness and sheen of the digital but with the imperfections of human performance and the depth and grit of organic analogue processing. A sound that is truly our own creation.”
The first track to feature from the EP, the title track illustrates a more upbeat and softer approach compared with weighty soundscapes applied on last year’s debut. Listen to that and another ‘The Beat Within’ below. Physical L.U.V. is out through !K7 on May 14.
