Danish based outfit Palace Winter, the project of Australian expat Carl Coleman and Danish multi-instrumentalist Caspar Hesselager are set to release their debut album, Waiting For The World To Turn’ in June. The single, ‘Positron’, which just scored a video, displays their penchant for melding driving motorik rhythms with psych and prog rock. The album itself is quite a diverse affair and contains a myriad of genres from pop, folk, country to the addition of electronic elements. If you liked The War On Drugs last record, you’ll love this. And its clear they’ve got the shitty selfish nature of the world’s future eating elite in their sites (see standout track ‘Hearts To Kill’). The video for the song was actually recorded live and up’s the ante on the album version. Listen and watch below and check out the other released tracks, ‘H.W. Running’ and ‘Soft Machine’. Waiting For The World To Turn is out June 3 on Tambourhinoceros. Pre-order the vinyl HERE.
