We’re still perpetually surrendering to Toronto intellectual pop outfit DIANA’s 2013 debut album so we were filled with great excitement at their news of a new track. Titled ‘Slipping Away’ released earlier this week, it follows the delightful unpredictability and individually danceable trajectory found on Perpetual Surrender with its polyrhythmic beats, funk filled guitar, earthy synths and Carmen Elle’s confident and delicate vocals advocating for enlightenment through fear-free change. Kieren Adams emotively adds his own vocal to the mix sharing a sax driven outro with Joseph Shabason. Listen to the gem below.
