Preoccupations are set to drop their new self titled record this coming week. Highlighting the record’s undoubted compositional prowess they’ve amazingly shared the stunning eleven minute album centrepiece, ‘Memory’. It features vocals from Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and was recorded in no less than six different studios across two years. The constantly shifting shades of light and dark are prevalent throughout its different parts and the at times eerie yet optimistic electronic effects, subtle changes in tone and the dramatic vocal differences between Boeckner and Matt Flegal play key roles in this.
