Last week saw the release of the new Psychic Twin album Strange Diary, our new album of the week. We’ve gone ahead and collected all tracks released from it thus far, each as indicative of its cohesive yet diverse character both musically and lyrically as the rest of the record. Erin Fein has stated that Strange Diary was borne out of trying to find ways to cope with the intense emotional pain that came in the wake of a lost relationship and the unlikely and strange places that relief and healing can emanate from. Pain in this case was both mitigated and satiated by music and art and that comes through unmistakably ultimately rendering the album a work of dichotomous beauty. First single, ‘Lose Myself’ was on heavy rotation throughout June. July and August while in our Top 30. Check out the video for that standout track below. The three other tracks released to promote the record in back order below; the languid yet bouyant ‘Hopeless (I Won’t Take Part Of You), the achingly touching, ‘Stop In Time’ and the locomotive like ‘Running In The Dark’. Grab your copy of the record here. Highly recommended.
