Melbourne artist Jay Penaflor has a new project called CHANGELINGS and has just dropped his debut single, ‘There’s a Place’. The spatial relationship between acoustic and delay drenched guitar melodies, emotive layers of synth and a epic sounding rhythm section combine to pack quite a punch, all ensconsed within a washed out recording approach that takes off the unnecessary sheen. A debut album titled ‘Poppyfields’ is not far off.
