BEACH FOSSILS SHARE HOMAGE TO AMERICA’S DIVERSITY

Beach Fossils have shared the second single from their upcoming album Somersault. The musically ornamental, slow paced and socially just ‘Saint Ivy’ is the band’s response to the ascendancy of the ghastly far Right in US politics. The video to accompany it was directed by Joey Chriqui and Milah Libin and highlights New York City as a representative beacon for the diversity that is the United States;

“In uncertain times, we turn to New York City as a reassuring look into the true diversity of this country. We set out to create a vision of NYC that demonstrates a more honest and nuanced understanding of what it means to live here. This video represents the less visible places and characters that exist in beautiful harmony both in this city, and in America.”

Somersault is out on June 2 through Bayonet Records. Pre-order the record here. Meanwhile, first single ‘This Year’ is at 3 in our Top 30.
