Montreal’s TOPS have shared the second track from their forthcoming album Sugar At The Gate. Unlike the sparkly ultra clean sounding ‘Petals’, new track ‘Dayglow Bimbo’ sees David Carriere fuzz up proceedings nicely taking cues from 90s psych and dream pop with more than a dose of shoegaze thrown in. Jane Penny’s bittersweet vocals suitably drop back into the mix but are no less effective and there’s an almost motorik like feel to the rhythm with drummer Riley Fleck in fine form. All this in two and a quarter minutes. The album drops June 2. Pre-order here.
