Long standing Portland based quartet The Prids have just released a new video for ‘Do I Look Like I’m In Love’, the first single from their forthcoming ultra-impressive and long awaited fourth album of the same name. Now into their third decade, it’s their first long player since the release of Chronosynclastic back in 2010, a period lengthened by significant health issues affecting two band members. Lyrically ‘Do I Look Like I’m In Love’ centres on growth, realisation and independence and musically is a crashing and expansive display of both raw power and pop sensibility while the video, directed by Shaine Edwards and filmed at The Lovecraft Bar, captures the essence of their live show and the close local connection they have with their knowing fans. Do I Look Like I’m Love is set to be released on October 20 through This-A-Way Records, the collective label of co-founders Mistina La Fave and David Frederickson, responsible for those gorgeous vocal harmonies. Pre-order here. The video is below and if you live on the North American west coast, catch the band as they head out on a short tour later this week with The Courtney’s to support The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. Dates here.
