Melbourne experimental electronic duo Rolling Mass just released their debut EP Prime Unity and last week shared its organically shifting title track. Made up of Carolyn Schofield (Fia Fiell) and Max Kohane (Crumbs & Max Kohanim), the project sees their different paths and approaches to electronic music on clear display in seamless, if unlikely union. ‘Prime Unity’ sees Schofield’s psych-inspired left field synth melodies dance around Kohane’s insistent and softly grinding rhythms and carefully employed samples. Let the eight minute wonder unfold below. Prime Unity is out through new Los Angeles label Brain Dead Records. Buy it on vinyl here.
