Kiev based Ukrainian youth art collective Gorsad have created an edgy DIY video for Ariel Pink’s stellar standout track ‘Time To Live’ off his excellent new album Dedicated To Bobby Jameson. The subversive underground art trio made up of a girl and two guys trade in provocatively ironic photography and short films and are known for pushing sexual boundaries and breaking religious taboos in a rather conservative society. This work, which through its gritty and grainy handheld visuals matches Pink’s lo-fi aesthetic perfectly, sees them do both. So if for some unfathomable reason you are uncomfortable with teenagers having critical voice and expressing their identity or equally uncomfortable with ironic allusions to the perfectly normal and natural act of teenage menstruation don’t watch the video below. Dedicated To Bobby Jameson is out now here through Mexican Summer while the ‘Time To Live’ currently sits at 11 after a stint at No. 1 in our Top 30.
