Versatile London DJ/Producer Joseph Ashworth just released a new EP Falling for Lee Burridge’s Get Weird Label. It’s a quick follow up from his three track Radio Silence EP released on Anjunadeep in early August which had an almost playful like feel. The two releases are indicative of his penchant to play around with quite different styles with this release definitely being in the more deeper realm. The two cuts on Falling are themselves quite different from each other. The title track begins with an almost menacing feel to it before settling into becoming almost like an out of body experience. Celestial like high end synths puncture the second half and the percussion and beat ratchets things up nicely. ‘Dominika’ provides the opposite vibe. Gone is the pensive atmosphere and weighty feel to be replaced by an open breezy disposition, a sprightly melody and a definite dance floor vibe. The end feels positively celebratory. The Falling EP is out now. Listen to both tracks below and get it digitally here (vinyl here). In case you missed it, you can also check out the transportive title track to Radio Silence featuring the velvet smooth vocals of Toronto based artist Piper Davis. Exceptional.
