Long standing Paris DJ/Producer Alexandre Paounov aka Popof, recently released his new Confusion EP on Nicole Moudaber’s Mood Records. The title track is an impressive piece of work. Acid inspired effects simmer away during the intro before becoming spiralling weapons as the track hits on its deliberative swing complemented by a pulsating power driven bass synth riff rippling away constantly underneath. Of equal measure in quality, the remaining two tracks raise the energy levels even further and demonstrate Popof’s encyclopaedic mind when it comes to all things techno.
