Early last month Melbourne DIY punk trio Suss Cunts announced the release of new EP, Temper and a couple of weeks ago released its title track and second single to follow up the wary and self effacing ‘Newby’ from late last year. In comparison to their 2016 debut, overall the five track record sees the band upping the ante in the studio which allows its driving rhythms, raucous melodies and high end hooks to pack one hell of a punch. And as per usual, whether its delivering a acerbic fuck you to sexual double standards, lamenting the stupidity of the anti-vaxxer movement or treating herself to a decent serve of wry self-deprecation, front woman Nina Renae has plenty of metaphorical punches to throw.
