Los Angeles based harpist Mary Lattimore has surfaced from a busy 2017 in which she produced four releases that included a collaboration with Elysse Thebner Miller and another with Steve Gunn and Kurt Vile along with the masterful Collected Pieces with the announcement of a new full length album. On the latter was the exquisitely beautiful ten minute piece of wondrous nostalgia ‘Wawa By The Ocean’ which took pride and place at No 100 in our Top 100 tracks of 2017, more to stick it up front and get it heard than it being 100th best. The new album, Hundreds Of Days on Ghostly International follows up her first album for the label At The Dam from early 2016.
The new album draws upon experiences from her move from the east to the west coast of the US and was recorded during her residency at the Headlands Center For The Arts just out of San Francisco. The first track to appear from the new album is the reflective and transcendental ‘Hello From The Edge Of The Earth’. Listen below and pre-order Hundreds Of Days here.
