AUSTEL SHARES ANIMATED VIDEO FOR ‘HOURS’

Last month English artist Austel (Annie Rew Shaw) released her cathartic debut EP Unfold and today shares a new animated video for its spirited closer, ‘Hours’. In keeping with the rest of the EP, ‘Hours’ rests on a delicately balanced mix of traditional instrumentation and ambient electronics. It sees Shaw’s subtle piano and multi layered vocal tones combine with producer Adam Stark’s deft mood altering electronics to reflect the fine line between tension and turmoil and release and hope. And happily the latter wins the day.

It’s the third track and video to be shared from the EP following the Matt Bell directed ‘Lost At Home’ and the visuals Shaw produced with Stark for ‘Ghosts’. They both collaborate again on ‘Hours’ and Shaw describes the video as;

“…a surreal animation of landscapes and dreamy imagery, created with visual algorithms written by my producer Adam Stark and my own personal photographs.”

Watch the gorgeous results below and buy Unfold here. Head over the our Electronic Pop playlist on Spotify to hear another track from the EP,  ‘Anaesthesia’.
