Melbourne electronic pop duo Hemm recently signed to Spirit Level (Happy Axe, Wawatosa, Braille Face, Sophie Hutchings) and released a new EP that rests on a brand new mix of the elaborate and engaging ‘Emerging With The Day’, a track originally released in September of last year on the Space Between Us EP.
Intricate percussion, woozy synth shifts, vocal harmonies and subtle field recordings make the track about comfort in connection ever more enticing. The original mix is accompanied by a remix of it and three other tracks from Darcy Baylis, Moses Carr. mara, Kayroy and EMVY. It’s rounded out with a live version sporting a lush string section and tuned percussion.
