We were blown away back in August when electronic experimentalist Beau Devereaux as Samantha Glass shared the towering first taste, ‘Cruel Anxiety’ from their forthcoming album Nine Memories Between Impression & Imprint. This week Glass shared two more tracks which happen to run as the last two on the record.
Heathen Harvest premiered the foreboding depths of the harrowing, industrial inspired ‘Discreet & Fit For Travel’, a term all LGBTQI+ travellers navigating even familiar territory will know very well. Revolver then shared the easier on the ear, ‘The Carpenter In All Of Us’, a track no less abstract and littered with broken hearts and haunting nostalgia where even the simplest told of exclusionary tales can cut deep.
Having described both tracks in rather stark terms, don’t be lulled into thinking there is one dimension to either – for there are defiant shades of light that permeate the gloom in both, even the former. Interpret the tracks for yourself below and pre-order what is an outstanding album here. It’s out on October 12 through Holodeck Records.

NOTE; A word of advice/recommendation. Upon its release next week, if you decide to head out with your headphones and listen to Nine Memories Between Impression And Imprint for the first time while you attempt to navigate a mainly unfamiliar, mostly disorienting and always busy city on a dark and windy night like I just did, the experience will another be the making of you.
