With Portuguese DJ/Producer Lewis Fautzi at the selection and editing helm, seminal Spanish label Polegroup have released the sixth instalment of their Unknown Landscapes Mix series. Fautzi delivers a mix that includes a stunning array of approaches and styles, each sitting seamlessly side by side within a mind crunching techno constitution within and across the 22 tracks and running time of 76 minutes. Containing original creations from Polegroup’s Spanish inner circle; label head Oscar Mulero, Reeko (Juan Rico) and Exium (Hector Sandoval and Valentin Corujo), Madrid’s Kwartz (Mario Campos) and Svreca and Santander’s P.E.A.R.L. it also contains contributions from Fautzi himself, fellow Portuguese producer Nørbak (Artur Moreira) as well as the Bogota born and Barcelona based Adriana Lopez. Italian born, Venezuelan raised and Argentine based Michel Lauriola, Polish producer Vertical Spectrum, the UK’s Shifted, Dutch producer Bas Mooy and the Milanese producer Wrong Assessment also join the fray.
In addition to the above, Unknown Landscapes also includes a relentless dance floor ready ‘Senyals’ from Barcelona based Eric Fetcher, ‘Lifeforms’, an acid bath from S.E.R.E.S. and the clattering industry of ‘Fever’ from Berlin based UK Producer Pris. Those three tracks are below. There’s little doubt this monster mix will be occupying a hell of a lot of listening time around here over the next month or so.
