The start of the month saw Copenhagen DJ/Producer Anastasia Kristensen drop her impressive debut four track EP, Ascetic. The meticulous percussion work of the modular driven and stretched out ‘LXR Jam’ and the title track’s industrial glow and minimal techno infused aura and busy breakbeat inspired percussion are immediate standouts. The title track also gets the full dub and breakbeat treatment on a version titled ‘In Breaks’ while final track ‘Donni’ brings proceedings home nicely with its straight up industrial vibe.
