Automelodi, the synthwave project coalescing around Montreal artist Xavier Paradis is soon set to release Mirages au futur verre-brisé, the long awaited full length follow up to 2013’s Surlendemains Acides. Last week its second single ‘Les Métros Disparus’, featuring a surreal trance like vocal performance from Xeno & Oaklander‘s* Liz Wendelbo, scored a retro-futuristic long form video representative of the themes disconnection contained in its subject matter. The clean lines together with the fractious nature of its super imposed frames come courtesy of direction from visual artist Kaspar Nolov aka Kaspar’89. Both Paradis and Wendelbo and guitarist Dillon Steele star within. Watch below.
Mirages au futur verre-brisé is out May 3 through Holodeck Records. Pre-order a copy on vinyl, cassette and digital here.
