Austin artist Christelle Bofale today released her superb five track EP called Swim Team. A work of perfect understatement, across its ultra consistent five tracks and 25 minutes, Bofale is able to conjure a mood that is both an airy and weighty. Also a work of great consistency, her expansive guitar style is immediate and affecting and when combined with her noteworthy vocal and astute compositions backed in by her more than handy rhythm section, you’ve got it all.
The two singles to come from those five tracks are below. The first is the upbeat and ornamental ‘Origami Dreams’, marked by its arrival at certainty and replete with three freedom riding reverb driven bridges. The second is the more staid ‘U Ouchea’, a two toned soulful seven minute affair that delicately glistens above its otherwise heavy feel.
