Last week Edinburgh singer-songwriter and photographer Amy Duncan released her delightfully arranged new single ‘Labyrinth’ last week. Its winding splendour, a mixture between acoustic guitar, flourishes of electronics and drama filled percussion will appear on an as yet unnamed album. That will be her seventh long player and be the follow up to her 2017 release Antidote which saw her return to self-producing her own material as she did on her earlier records.

In addition to her musical prowess, Duncan is also a photographer and the inspiration behind ‘Labyrinth’ can be seen from the background images on its video overlaid silhouette style with Tracy Foster’s complementary animation. The video will be the first in a series Duncan, in conjunction with Foster,  will release accompanying further singles throughout the year. Contribute to the project through Patreon here.

Stream and watch ‘Labyrinth below and buy it here. You can also find the track in our New Independent Folk Country & Singer Songwriter Playlist on Spotify here.
