The hazy DIY dream pop and shoegaze inspired Lonely Hearts is the debut EP from Japanese Heart Software, the new musical project belonging to Melbourne artist Nat Chippy, lead guitarist and vocalist in the jangle driven pop/rock outfit Vim. The project and EP see Chippy take a more introspective approach sonically, with each of the varied track centres shrouded in reverb and a doused with a lo-fi vocal and atmosphere.
Listen below to ‘Something’, a mixture of retro and jangle pop that’s suitably and slowly enveloped by all its elements, and buy a digital and limited cassette copy of the EP here. You can also hear the yearning and hypnotic ‘For Another Day’ in our New Post-Punk/Wave/Shoegaze/Post Rock Playlist here on Spotify.
