SRSQ Returns With The Towering Temporal Love

SRSQ Returns With The Towering Temporal Love

Last week Bay Area singer-songwriter-artist Kennedy Ashlyn aka SRSQ unveiled ‘Temporal Love’, her emotionally uncompromising and at once poignant and electrifying single. It’s accompanied by ‘Unkept’ on the flip, a cacophonous communique delivered with dramatic intensity and theatrical passion which perfectly showcases Ashlyn’s dexterous vocal ability. The A side features guest vocals from True Body vocalist Isabel Moreno and co-producer Jorge Albrecht who offer an appropriate counterpoint to Ashlyn’s adroitly delivered and sentimentally driven anamnesis.

Artistically speaking, together ‘Temporal Love’ and ‘Unkept’ further Ashlyn’s upward trajectory, no mean feat considering how good her SRSQ debut Unreality released last year was. In a personal sense, they also trace her personal recovery from the tumultuous and tragic loss in late 2016 of partner and fellow Them And Us Too band member Cash Askew. Listen to both tracks, which mark the beginning of the writing process for a new album due in 2020, below. Buy the digital through Dais Records here.
